Is Pregnancy Massage SAFE?
Absolutely....in the hands of trained professionals, Pregnancy Massage is one of the best ways for you to pamper your changing body. Super Spa Girl's therapists are highly trained in the art of Pregnancy Massage and follow the teachings of Carole Osborne-Sheets, renowned Pregnancy Massage expert in the United States. At your first visit, our therapists perform a complete health history to ascertain the appropriateness of your receiving massage therapy.

What happens during a Pregnancy Massage?
Our Pregnancy Massage Therapy Specialists have over 15 years of experience. Your safety is our top priority and we have the experience and knowledge to create the best and most beneficial massage experience for YOU.
All sessions are customized and include a consultation.
During your session, your Pregnancy Massage Therapist will use pillows and bolsters to keep your body as safe and comfortable as possible throughout your session.
As highly trained Pregnancy Massage Therapy Specialists with over 15 years of experience, we do not endorse nor utilize tables or pillows with special "cut-outs" that would have a Mother to Be lying face down. We do not believe that this is safe for Mother or Baby.
How often should I receive Pregnancy Massage?
As often as possible. We recommend that you begin receiving massage services after 10 weeks into your Pregnancy. After that, is up to you. At a minimum, we recommend once per month. Optimally, once every 2 weeks in the second trimester and once a week in the 3rd trimester. It is important to remember that any massage is better than no massage so even if you only come 1-2 times during your Pregnancy, you are still receiving the benefits of Pregnancy Massage.
When can I start receiving Pregnancy Massage? In order to ensure the safety of our Mamas-to-Be, Super Spa Girl recommends that you schedule your first Prenatal visit at your 10th week or after of Pregnancy. For high risk pregnancies, including, but not limited to, TWINS, GESTATIONAL DIABETES, HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, PLACENTA PREVIA, and PRE-ECLAMPSIA, Super Spa Girl REQUIRES a release from your physician before proceeding with Pregnancy Massage Services.
After 15 years of practicing massage therapy and as a mother to 5 children of my own, I would argue that Postpartum Massage may in fact be MORE IMPORTANT than Pregnancy Massage (of course, both together are gold.)
Please, please, please recognize that a new mother needs SUPPORT. The first year after welcoming a new baby is joyous, of course, but it can also be challenging.
If you believe you or your loved one may be exhibiting signs of Postpartum Depression or Postpartum Anxiety, please SPEAK OUT. Here is a quiz that may help identify the signs: Postpartum Quiz
In many Eastern cultures, it is standard practice to support a new mother with daily massage following the blessed birth of a baby.
Rapidly changing hormones plus the addition of a new life can be exciting but also overwhelming.
Our Greensburg Postpartum Massage Packages can be the perfect gift for a new mom. We offer massage in the studio or onsite...remember, this is all about YOU and what is easiest. I am even willing to make arrangements for a good time for you to bring the baby with you if that is easiest.
Our highly trained staff will help make this transition less stressful for everyone.
Let us assist you during the "fourth trimester."
